Perspective 4

Do you listen to those whispers of your mind, those thoughts from the deep that have been subconsciously suppressed? In my moments of longing, I hear those whispers. I hear the part of me that understands the freedom of life, and because of that, craves to be released from this place I have cemented myself into.

If this thought does not excite you, read not more; but if this thought compels you for the same reason it compels me, I ask you one thing; do not trade this thought for the cheap dopamine you will find abundantly in life.

It’s important to consider that by choosing cheap dopamine over working towards personal fulfillment you rid the world of the greatest version of yourself. We all will face those final seconds of our lives, and many of us will get the chance to recognize them when they come; will you be content to face your God knowing you choose not to chase that form?

The reason I started this by mentioning whispers, is because that’s what these thoughts are; vibrant, quiet longings by our subconscious, leading us back to the places we’ve been before, to the nights we have shared before, and eventually to greet the death we’ve died before.

Perspective 3

“Do not fear death, death is always at our side; when you show fear, it jumps at us faster than light, but if we do not show fear, it casts its eye upon us gently, and then guides us into infinity.”

“People only think about the past right before their death, as if they were searching frantically for proof they were alive” (Jet, Bebop). I know people who, while close to death, even after extremely fulfilling lives, would be taking pictures of pictures, frantically writing down memories, drawing out what they can; of course realize no respect can be lost for this behavior, as not many have had the cold clutching certainty of death around them.

But it is also important to expect this moment, and even visualize it; what would you like to go to your grave thinking about? What do you actually want to have done?

These may be odd questions but once you start to think more about them you will come to better terms with your mortality. Imagine knowing a final grade is coming, understanding what you can do about it, and choosing to do nothing (I have of course done this); but imagine doing it for 80 years and in all aspects of life.

Eventually you have to commit to your passion, somehow developing yourself into a person who is more than just satisfied with the day to day. If you don’t, this final moment will come, and you will know deep down whether you did everything you could, or not; and you will have to have this as your primary truth when you are guided on to the next part of your journey.

Maybe in that moment, time will slow for you and you will get to think about all of the things you could have done and all the opportunities your life had to branch and expand in different exciting and fascinating directions. Maybe you’ll think about all the love that you had for someone else, maybe your family, and how you wished you could have done more for them and yourself.

Maybe you will become so dedicated to living fully that you’ll have the opportunity to reflect on all the branches on the tree of life you got to explore; all the knowledge that you got a chance to absorb here and pass on to the new generation; all the love you were able to spread, even to a stranger; and the understanding that out of all the different versions of yourself that you could have become with different choices, you did the absolute most to explore what life means to you, but more importantly what you meant to it.

May you go out in wonder, as the voices of angels whisper to you through the ageless wings.

Perspective 2

I believe some of us have fallen into the trap of abandoning our faith (in whatever context). Not as many struggle tirelessly in life to find themselves and all they could be, but many struggle tirelessly in life after choosing comfort as a priority, leading themselves to a life of depression/ anxiety developed from a lack of progressing through shortcomings which end up manifesting later in life as the unsolvable problems seen before them.

It feels like the world is collapsing in on us; through social media, every problem seems more present, as every lie seems more truthful. It’s so easy to wind up lost as we increasingly follow the aimless. It is beautiful to see someone find themselves, or be a part of that process; but what I believe to be greatness, is to embody that process, working towards what you believe in, leaving inspiration and having given a future generation the hunger and wisdom to further your pursuit.

We as a society are far from weak; you can hear our passion in our arguments, see our frustration as progress continues to struggle, feel our love in the personal conversations and interactions with those close to us. So where can this incredible amount of hate, being felt by everyone, be coming from?

I believe it comes from that little device that so easily captivates our attention for hours on end. Constantly overstimulating our minds with the disagreements riddled under so many posts (many of these made by bots); advertisements which are creepily accurate or not the slightest bit relevant, just sitting before us as bare fishing hook;  unqualified people, sometimes straight up frauds, telling anyone how to live life when they have not figured it out themselves.

People always say “it starts at the individual level” and I feel it is incredibly pointless to say this because “work at the individual level” is something that must be inspired in people. Even me writing this, most likely, pointless; the point is to give the people something that could be important/motivating enough to inspire progress at an individual level. This is something rarely done at a massive scale, but as long as little perspectives like this are given, hopefully we can continue to debate and develop a healthier vision for the future.

Our lives are like rays

Ripping through space and time

All of them intertwined

Headed to what is divine

Together we will flourish

Apart we will fall

Let these words nourish

Let them enthrall

We feed off each others gifts,

The greatness we carry inside

For by God we are all kissed

But it’s up to you to decide

Who you will be

And to where you are going,

I hope you do see

That the future is glowing

With many I have walked

With few I have danced

With you I share thought

I hope it’s enhanced

The way you think,

And operate in life

You know to seize the day

But I implore you, seize the night

The truth is rarely told in the 9-5 hours

Consumed by quotas and driven by desires

To be good, not great, and ignore your powers

This is their credo, Let’s follow ours:

To live this life in tune with the infinite

To do what you love, in every minute

To lift yourself and inspire others to follow

This will leave us, not needing tomorrow

Once this is done, you’re work is through

You’ve fulfilled your purpose now admire the view

Enjoy what’s left, reminisce on what was

Take a bow as you leave, eternal applause

Life is an insatiable ripple through space and time

A trial of fire, to the great divine

As specs of stardust take their form

We set out together to embrace the storm

At a garden we start, and since then have grown

As we traveled together, into what is unknown

It is here we have learned the rules to our game

We learn to trust each other, because were all the same

As we continue forward, we start to lose ourselves

Focusing on others, and the bad hand we were dealt.

This trap gets many, some will never be free

This snare of ignorance, oh how bissful it can be

What is real will prosper, so through the traps we continue

Our numbers thinning, going to places we’ve never been to

Sun by moon people begin to fall apart,

Living in the past, surrounded in the dark.

As the sun of reality dawns upon everyone

The moon of possibilities shows what’s never done

For in the night everything seems possible

But come the light, and we feel less responsible

With our clarity dimming we head to the stars,

Set foot on the moon, and build our first base on Mars.

As time carries on, we forget about the garden

Alienating ourselves, and the life we take part in

Take this moment to find yourself and what matters

Use this and your gifts, and the universe shatters

The world will open up with endless possibilities

Then come back to us, show us your capabilities

As the babys born and the old man dies,

The mother smiles as the old lady cries.

The great fish circle with the birds up above,

We’re just caught in the middle, looking at love.

Now is forever,

Fail to grasp this and get let go

For most of us are on a road to nowhere

Together into the unknown

Some will make it,

Many will not

But it’s through you they live

Forget this, you cannot

Hear their wisdom in your ears

Feel their energy guide your soul

Let them bring you out of the darkness

To the place we’ve met before
